About Faye’s

Family Owned. Northern Utah Grown. Since 1968.

Faye’s began in 1968 when Russ and Faye Cummings were looking for a new direction and decided to build a business together. They put Faye’s name on the door, and more than five decades later, that name is still here.

Today, Faye’s is owned and operated by Coral Petersen, with the next generation of the family already involved in the business.

Generations of Faye’s

Faye’s has always been a family business. Over the years, different generations of the family have helped own, operate and grow it, including Russ and Faye Cummings, Sharon and Cliff Dutcher, and Coral Petersen. Now Coral’s sons are preparing to take over the business.

The business has grown, and the equipment and fabrics have changed. But the goal has stayed pretty simple: take care of the clothes, and take care of the customer.

Every Garment Has a Story

Some garments are everyday shirts. Some are wedding gowns. Some arrive as large orders that need careful planning. Over the years, Faye’s has handled some memorable projects.

In one past project, we cleaned a large batch of vests after a shipping container accident. We have cleaned costumes for performance organizations, along with mascot suits, rodeo garments and large commercial orders. These are stories from our history, not promises of what we can take on today, so ask us about timing and what’s possible for your order.

We once worked on wedding gowns that had been hit with paintballs. And sometimes the story is much more personal. One customer brought us his late wife’s wedding gown because he wanted it restored and preserved. Results on any gown depend on its age, fabric, the stains involved and how it was stored before, and not every gown can be perfectly restored. We will give you an honest look at what to expect.

Every piece that comes through our doors matters to someone. That’s what this business is really about.

Big Jobs. Strange Jobs. Special Jobs.

After this many years, we’ve seen a lot: costumes, western wear, wedding dresses, mascot suits, commercial orders and garments with fire or water damage. Unusual items get an assessment first, and if we’re not sure, we’ll tell you.

Leather is coordinated with a specialty cleaner rather than cleaned in-house. We can’t say yes to everything, but we will give you an honest assessment and then figure out the right way to care for it.

See What We Clean

Keeping Northern Utah Warm

Every year, Faye’s hosts an annual coat drive for people in need across Northern Utah. Customers and community members donate coats. Our team professionally cleans them, checks their condition and helps prepare them for donation. Then we work with charitable organizations from Salt Lake to Ogden to get those coats to people who need them.

A Few Other Things We Care About

We also clean American flags at no charge year round, and we help care for Santa suits during the holiday season. We work with local charitable organizations and community partners whenever we can. Northern Utah has supported Faye’s for generations, and we believe in returning the favor.

We Never Stop Learning

Fabric keeps changing, and cleaning has to change with it. That’s why our team continues to train, attend industry classes and learn new cleaning methods. Faye’s is a member of the Drycleaning & Laundry Institute.

We continue to invest in modern equipment and new cleaning technology so we can properly care for today’s fabrics, not just the fabrics people wore 30 years ago.

One Team. One Standard.

Faye’s has multiple locations, but our professional cleaning operation is centralized so our family can stay close to the work. We’re here every day, working alongside our team. That allows us to keep a close eye on quality and make sure the same standards are followed across the business.

The People Behind Faye’s

Faye’s works because of the people who do the work every day. Our team includes experienced cleaners, garment care professionals, route drivers and specialists who have spent years learning their craft.

There are real people behind every order, and they care about doing the job right.

If Something Isn’t Right, Tell Us

We’re not going to pretend mistakes never happen. They do. If something isn’t right, we’ll listen, work to understand the problem, and do our best to make it right. We can’t guarantee every outcome, but that’s how our family has done business for generations, and how we plan to keep doing it. You can contact us anytime.

Thanks, Northern Utah.

Faye’s has been here since 1968 because generations of customers have trusted us with their clothes, their businesses and sometimes the things that mean the most to them. We don’t take that lightly. Thank you for supporting our family business.
